Inside Penn: A Campus Built on Connection
/While some days are filled with assignments, studying, and midterm prep in the library, others leave room for the moments that truly make college memorable, connecting with people and building community. At Penn, that sense of community is woven into everyday life. It is a place where students are ambitious and hardworking, but also deeply involved in the student organizations, traditions, and spontaneous “side-quests” that make college so meaningful and more than a degree.
One of Penn’s biggest perks is its vibrant, energetic campus right next to a dynamic city, where there’s something for everyone. Whether it’s taking a walk on a sunny day to a Center City café for a co-working session with a friend, watching a friend perform after weeks of dedication to her singing group, or trying a new restaurant from Beli’s top Philly rankings with my roommates, the moments that stand out most from my junior spring are the ones that made my experience feel full. This semester also marked one of the key junior-year traditions: receiving the P-sweater, with “27” stitched on the sleeve, a small but meaningful symbol that brought our class together. Overall, Penn offers a wealth of academic and professional opportunities, but just as importantly, it fosters a campus spirit rooted in support, connection, and shared ambition. It’s a place where people check in on each other and celebrate each other’s wins. If you’re a prospective student or parent wondering what daily life feels like here, I can confidently say that Penn will be a place that you will feel welcomed.
